French 75 Recipe
French 75 is a classic cocktail with a history stretching as far back as 1915. The recipe is reminiscent of a Tom Collins, but in a French 75 is the soda water is replaced with champagne and served preferably in a champagne glass or a coupette as shown above.
Ingredients
- 30 ml Gin
- 20 ml Lemon juice
- 20 ml Simple syrup
- 50 ml Champagne
Instructions
- Pour gin, lemon juice and simple syrup into a shaker.
- Fill the shaker with ice.
- Shake until cold.
- Strain into a glass and top the drink with champagne.
- Garnish with lemon zest.
