Gingerbread Flip Recipe

Gingerbread flip is a nice and creamy drink with a taste of gingerbread cookies. The drink is easy to make and is perfect as a Christmas cocktail. In this recipe, dark rum is used as a base spirit, but it can be replaced with whatever spirit you like the most.



  1. Start by making the syrup. See the recipe for gingerbread syrup here.
  2. Pour rum, gingerbread syrup, a whole egg (including the yolk) and a few dashes of Angostura Bitters into a shaker.
  3. Shake the shaker well without ice to build up a fluffy and creamy texture.
  4. Add ice and shake the drink cold.
  5. Strain into a glass and garnish with grated nutmeg.
