Painkiller Recipe
Painkiller is a nice and fruity cocktail with a taste of pineapple and coconut. The recipe is based on the classic drink Piña Colada, but here a splash of orange juice is added and the Painkiller is usually made with dark rum instead of light rum. The drink was created in the 1970s at the Soggy Dollar Bar in the British Virgin Islands.
Ingredients
- 50 ml Dark rum
- 90 ml Pineapple juice
- 20 ml Orange juice
- 20 ml Sweetened Coconut cream
Instructions
- Pour all ingredients into a shaker.
- Fill the shaker with ice.
- Shake the drink cold.
- Strain into a glass filled with crushed ice.
- Garnish with pineapple.
The sweetened coconut cream is made by dissolving 1 part sugar in two parts coconut cream or coconut milk. There is also ready-made sweetened coconut cream to buy like Coco López Cream of Coconut.
